CEO
Dr. Olgaç Ergeneman is the CEO and co-founder of Magnes. He is an electrical engineer by training and received his PhD degree from Multi-Scale Robotics Lab of ETH Zurich in 2011. He has over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 5 patents. He has over 10-years experience on medical robotics, biomedical systems, microsystems, magnetic sensors and actuators, technology transfer and IP. In 2013, he earned the prestigious Pioneer Fellowship of ETH Zurich Foundation given to individuals intending to independently develop a highly innovative product or service to be exploited commercially. He co-founded Magnes to commercialise the sensor technology and algorithms developed during his PhD and postdoctoral studies. Magnes has developed a disruptive real-life-monitoring solution to analyze the walking patterns of patients with neurological disorders. It is the only solution to give real-time vibrotactile biofeedback to patients. Using smart sensors embedded in sneaker-type shoes it collects data while the patient is walking or doing daily activities. Magnes AI processes the data to generate automatic reports and provide the patient with direct feedback on their gait or warn/prevent situations like falling or freezing.
